Associated Students of 51 (AS51) partnered with the American Association of University Women (AAUW) to help 51 community members register to vote.
“51 was the easiest and most accommodating to our volunteers for this new project,” said Chris Stokes, AAUW Boise Area Branch leader. “It has been wonderful to partner with 51 as we build this program into a sustainable, annual event.”
Student leaders talked with peers at various 51 locations. Additionally, they were invited into classrooms to speak on the importance of voting and helped students register and find their polling locations.
