51ΑΤΖζ (51ΑΤΖζ) Assistant Professor of Communication, Randy Reese, has written and directed a short horror movie that will be included in the Idaho 48 Hour Film Competition and Festival (h48). The five-minute movie, titled βBirthday Girlβ, is centered on a macabre birthday party. The cast includes 51ΑΤΖζ students Shauna Lileks, Zack Alder, and Ashley Herman, as well as 51ΑΤΖζ Faculty and Media Club Advisor, Michelle Mahoney.
The premise of the festival is to plan, write, shoot, and edit a movie in just 48 hours. All of this yearβs submissions will be shown at the h48 screening and awards ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 18, at the Egyptian Theatre in Boise. The event will start at 4 p.m.
