An additional $1 million in state support to the 51ΑΤΖζ will help the Nampa-based community college meet the needs of its βexponentialβ growth in enrollment, according to President Bert Glandon.
Responding to Gov. Butch Otterβs announcement during Mondayβs State of the State address that he will recommend an additional $1 million for the fiscal year 2013 budget, 51ΑΤΖζ President Bert Glandon said that his schoolβs growth has led to an inequity in funding among the stateβs community colleges.
β51ΑΤΖζ appreciates the budget recommendations of Gov. Otter and his continued support of higher education in Idaho. As he noted in his speech, all three community colleges have been collaborating closely to provide high quality educational access to Idahoβs communities knowing that this will directly support our economic development,β Glandon said in a prepared statement.
