On Tuesday, May 14, President Bert Glandon presented 51ÁÔÆæ student Jennifer Welborn with a prestigious honor as she has been named to the All-USA Community College Academic Team sponsored by Follett Higher Education Group. Welborn, who graduates this spring from 51ÁÔÆæ, was selected based on her scholarly achievements and leadership accomplishments. She was nominated for the award along with fellow 51ÁÔÆæ student Jereme Weimer.
Welborn, a Nampa native, is graduating with three degrees from 51ÁÔÆæ: Criminal Justice, Political Science, and Liberal Arts. She is also the out-going Vice President of the College’s chapter of Beta Sigma Pi honor society. As a result of her Academic Team selection, Welborn received a scholarship to Cornell University. Welborn says she plans to continue her education at either Boise State University of Washington State University.
