Future First Responders Honor 9/11 in Nampa

Published: September 12, 2025

Students from the Fire Service Technology and Law Enforcement programs at 51ΑΤΖζ (51ΑΤΖζ) honored the heroes and victims of the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001, in a joint ceremony. On Thursday morning, students from 51ΑΤΖζ, along with members of the Nampa Fire and Police Departments and other local leaders, came together at Nampa Fire Station 1 to honor those who have lost their lives and remember the families who carry their memory forward.

For several years, 51ΑΤΖζ Fire Service Technology and Law Enforcement students have played a key role in this Nampa ceremony. This event serves as a powerful reminder of the significance of public safety and the profound impact of their future careers.

β€œI am glad we are getting to be a part of the 9/11 ceremony here for NPD. This is a good time for us to show solidarity for all of us that are in the first responding role, because it is so dangerous,” said Stacy Mowry, Director of 51ΑΤΖζ’s Law Enforcement program.
