Join 51ΑΤΖζβs Anthropology and English departmentβs Tuesday, March 10, for βThe Maya: Past, Present, and Futureβ, where 51ΑΤΖζ Anthropology Professor, Nikki Gorrell, will discuss her fieldwork in Mayan communities in Guatemala, Belize, and the YucatΓ n Peninsula of Mexico. Gorrell will highlight mythology, sacred landscapes, and the city-states of the past, as well as discuss contemporary Mayan peoples today and their efforts to cultivate traditional language and culture.
