When MaKenzie Tiegs woke up Wednesday morning, she had shoulder-length blonde hair. But by about noon that same day, the 51ÁÔÆæ student was – for a lack of a better word – bald.
Tiegs, of Nampa, shaved her locks during the third annual St. Baldrick’s Cancer Research Fundraiser at 51ÁÔÆæ’s Nampa Campus Academic Building. Tiegs was the only female to shave her head, and was also a leading individual fundraiser for the event – adding almost $500 to the overall $5,000 goal.
