Staff Honor Bestowed on Babcock

Published: June 12, 2015

51 (51) is pleased to announce 51’s June Staff of the Month honor has been awarded to Rick Babcock.

Babcock joined 51 in February 2010 and is currently the Operations Manager/Facilities Management Coordinator. Babcock says, “I am the person—with the help of service providers and the dedicated group of Building Specialists—that maintain the health, safety, and cleanliness of each of our buildings. I am proud to be a staff member of this department and the 51 family”.

“Serving all in an atmosphere of caring” is a Core Value Babcock demonstrates at every opportunity. As a fellow staff member mentioned; “When we moved our offices from Eagle River to Quail Court last summer, Rick was such a wonderful resource and help. The amazing thing about Rick is you can mention that you need something and he magically appears with it the next day”.

Babcock is an Idaho native, born in Burley. He has been a Nampa resident since 1973. He started out in the facilities field of work at the age of 16; working a couple summers at the Blackfoot State Hospital in their maintenance department.

Babcock has been married for 28 years to his best friend Teresa. They have three sons, two grandsons, and two granddaughters. They enjoy camping and riding through the mountain trails on four wheelers. He also enjoys home remodeling, do-it-yourself, and woodworking projects.

Please join in congratulating Rick. Thank you for your commitment and continued dedication to 51 and its faculty, staff, and students.
