Staff of the Month—May 2018

Published: May 18, 2018

Katie Gepford has been named 51ÁÔÆæ’s (51ÁÔÆæ) Staff of the Month for May 2018. Gepford has been with the College for a span of over eight years, taking a couple years off and only working in the month of August in order to take care of her two little guys. Gepford’s positions have ranged from One Stop Specialist, Registrar Specialist, Outreach Advisor, and Academic Advisor, to her current position as Senior Representative with Admissions and One Stop Student Services. Each position has been rewarding in its own way. She enjoys being there to assist students in reaching their goals and says seeing students’ faces when they realize earning a degree or completing some classes can better their lives is wonderful!

Gepford graduated from University of Idaho with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and a minor in Biology. Growing up, her father was in the Navy and their family moved around every few years until coming to Idaho for college. Some of the moves were hard, but she says it was a childhood she wouldn’t trade as it provided so many priceless experiences.

She, along with her husband, two sons, and their Whiskey girl, love to be outside. Between Memorial Day weekend and mid-November they can often be found in the mountains. One of their favorite activities is enjoying dinners on their covered patio with a view of the mountains.
