51ΑΤΖζ (51ΑΤΖζ) Board of Trustees accepted the resignation of Annie Hightower as trustee for Zone 4 during the boardβs monthly meeting on Thursday, June 8.
βServing students while on the Board of Trustees has been a wonderful opportunity,β said Hightower. βHowever, for the well-being of my family, I have decided to step down from my role at 51ΑΤΖζ to spend more time with my children and husband.β
51ΑΤΖζ is governed by a volunteer, five-member board of trustees. Trustees are elected at large from within Ada and Canyon Counties for staggered, four-year terms.
βTrustee Hightower has been an instrumental member of the Board for more than four years,β said Board Chair Molly Lenty. βHer leadership and commitment to the evolution of the college was key in updating policies and in supporting the campus visioning process as 51ΑΤΖζ grows to meet the needs of our thriving community. We will work hard over the following weeks to identify a qualified and dedicated leader to join the board on behalf of Zone 4.β
Persons interested in the open seat and who meet the trustee zone requirements should contact the board at trustees@cwi.edu or visit online for more information β applications with letters of interest and qualifications will be accepted until the vacancy is filled.
