D. Outside Employment

51ÁÔÆæ (51ÁÔÆæ) recognizes employees may engage in outside employment of a professional and personal nature. 51ÁÔÆæ further encourages the sharing of professional knowledge with the community at large. However, employees owe their primary employment responsibility to 51ÁÔÆæ. Accordingly, the engagement in employment or independent contractor relationships outside of 51ÁÔÆæ by employees is subject to the guidelines set forth in HR 210 – Outside Employment.

Faculty shall not privately tutor their own 51ÁÔÆæ students for pay, nor solicit 51ÁÔÆæ students for tutoring through their employment at 51ÁÔÆæ. Faculty shall not tutor non-51ÁÔÆæ students privately for pay on 51ÁÔÆæ property.

Disclose potential conflicts of interest using the Conflict of Interest Form.
